Classified has an EVBOT Plug ... so OV should be possible ... not sure if EVGA has released EVBOT Firmware Update for GTX1080 Classified yet.

So you have returned it or you own it ? EVGA FTW Bios should help.

I hope I get a good one, I would rather not have to send this back to Amazon a few times till I get one with decent QA haha.

fingers crossed, hopefully it will be alright. There will be some bleed, it just depends on how bad it is

Both the 1080 xtreme waterforce and the 1080 classified boost to 2050 out of the box no problem, beyond that is a lottery.

Both cards have been sent back due to lack of voltage control beyond 1.09v, might as well buy a cheap reference card and stick a block on it IMHO. For air cooling, the 1080 classified was a very nice piece of kit, can highly recommend. 1000 EUR/USD though !

My FTW goes to 2139 with no sweat, but above that runs into thermal wall even at max fan.I'd expect Classified to hit 2150 with ease.

I still have the card.

Not sure about the voltage thing. Even the voltage hard mod page claimed that Pascal doesn't respond well/unstable at higher voltage. ASUS Strix is probably the best example of that.

https://xdevs.com/guide/pascal_oc/#voltsc

As for air cooling EVGA also has models with exact cooler on reference board and way cheaper, but even so the best air cooling models should probably go to AMP Extreme, Gigabyte Xtreme Gaming, ASUS Strix and most Palit/Gainward variants, all featuring nothing short of a gigantic heatsink:D

It doesnt depend on the "name" of the card but rather on the chip itself. Most of the aib cards can go over 2.1GHz. Period..

Can anyone confirm if reflashing bios to FE on zotac changes anything?
