Clearly you do not know what your talking about lol.. T-X has 3072 cores.. 980ti is the same chip with 2816 cores.. T-X 12gb of Vram 980ti 6gb
My T-X is running at 1480mhz so i would like to bench with a OC 1080 see the difference.. I will get the Next Titan also as i like to have the fastest card.. Took 14 months for a faster card to come out and people are saying its only 10% faster for $300 less

Faster is faster...is faster wink.gif.

It's not an ideal upgrade path for a Titan user, that is to come - obviously.

Preordered my EVGA 1080 FTW yesterday, hopefully I'll get it before the month is out. Looking forward to having better drivers by then though!

WOW, can't believe people are paying ridiculous prices for these cards, especially stock coolers! What's the go?
I don't get it as well.
1080 oc vs 980ti oc is about 10% difference.
Paying double the price for 10% performance is meh

If people have too much money- they can spend on what they want. If I had enough money to don't care, hell I would upgrade even for this 10% smile.gif. Because why not if you have money smile.gif

Since I do not have money to waste, I am waiting for 1080Ti. I hope for AT LEAST 30% more peformacne than my 980Ti OCed and 50% when I OC hell out of 1080Ti.

But the only thing I do not get personally- why people buy referance 1080s?? That is the only enigma for me.

I agree that in general, people should wait for the aftermarket cards (especially when you don't plan to put a waterblock on your card).

Personally, I just had to have these cards for my In Win Tou build (see sig for a slightly outdated picture). These cards fit into the theme so perfectly... My PC is a prominent piece in the living room, and while many would disagree, I care about the looks more than I care about the advantages of the aftermarket models.

Which prices are you comparing? Does the 1080 cost more than 1k$ or do you know where to buy a new cheap 980ti?
I would love to get 1 or 2 980ti for under 500$ ea redface.gif
