I am playing at 1080p but I want to ascent to Glorious 4K when there are good 4K IPS 120+ Hz monitors out (More for futureproofing, not really to play all games at 4K 120Hz) So I do not need to buy a monitor every 2 years.)

These posts crack me up, bro I don't work for any graphic card company and "convincing" you has 0 effect on my existence. Do the research, do your homework and make an informed decision, everything you need to know is out in the wild and easily accessible. I have a 1080 FTW and I could not be happier and I came from a 980 Ti Classified and I game @ 2560x1440, to me 4k is pointless with games right now.

AH-HA! ....it wasn't idling after all, locked at 1721Mhz, totally forgot I adjusted power settings.

What a shame, I got so disappointed with my initial temps, needed some cheering up, picked up CLASSIFIED , KA-BOOM! biggrin.gif
Totally lucked out! MicroCenter was sold out for weeks, settled on FTW, driving back home earlier today, dropped by MC just to check, had 1 in stock, MINE!

Thumbs down, should of stuck with the FTW haha! I have a 980 Ti Classified and it was dope, but this time around, not worth the extra cash IMO.

Hey guys,

It may be a repeated question but i'm feeling lazy.

Do you void warranty if you remove the stock fan of a new card like the 1080 and re apply a better thermal solution?

I'd like to knock down some extra temps. (79 degrees max temps on stock setting)

Also what's the best aftermarket air solution? (that's not to loud) for a reference 1080. (asus)

Not with EVGA, I do not know about anyone else. Google could probably give you a better answer in much less time.
