Looks good! I am glad to see with the 1070's and 1080's there are a lot more watercooled AIB cards. Before the 10 series it was only evga and there HydroCopper model. I wish I had a customer loop. But unfortunately, all I have is my FE lol.

What a shame, I got so disappointed with my initial temps, needed some cheering up, picked up CLASSIFIED , KA-BOOM! biggrin.gif
Totally lucked out! MicroCenter was sold out for weeks, settled on FTW, driving back home earlier today, dropped by MC just to check, had 1 in stock, MINE!

So, how does it work? Max clock under 80% fan & closed case and max at 100%? Btw, gonna SLI it with FTW or just swap?

have a few questions regarding my 1080 seahawk x
my gpu core clock is 1987mhz out of the box, is that good or normal?
second question is, how much can I OC the gpu?
does anyone have the 1080 seahawk that have gotten a stabile overclock that is somewhat good?

It's fine. OC as much as you want. If it doesn't work, the app or the driver will crash.

Im not installing any other MSI sw besides my afterburner, last time I installed the msi sw from the driver cd my pc went haywire and crippled my pc, everything was laggy and it took a 3secs to mark a folder for example.

Im thinking of using the afterburner or XOC,not sure if its possible to use XOC on nonEVGA cards.

and a question thing I dont know the answer to.
I set my fan rpm to 44% and everytime I reboot my pc it gets down to 33% and auto. how do I change that stay on 44% when rebooting my OS.

I have a Seahawk EK. That's what mine did on stock gaming bios. Didn't try flipping it to the oc stock bios. If you want higher clocks without doing anything else, you can flash the gaming Z bios in oc mode onto your card. That's what I did, and it boosts to about 2080 at stock now. I would back up your bios or just download the regular gaming x bios to flash back if your card can't handle it.

I switched to mx-4 on my FTW and dropped like 2c, nothing mind blowing at all.

been benchmarking all day, preliminary results are suspiciously negative compared to my FTW; more work to do, but here's some results.
BTW: In Nvidia Control Panel, I set Power management mode to Prefer maximum performance, is it common to leave other settings default to ensure max performance, purely for benchmarking, not gaming.

I do hope you have the classy on water or better cooling, comparing them both on air is pretty pointless..

Why would it be? A better heatsink and better binned chips should give some benefits.
