It depends on perfcaps and temperature. It's not really a mystery it's just a pain thats why when people mod the bios of 9xx cards they often remove boost and just have it pinned to the max clocks it can go too under load.

I can get my cache up to 4000 at 1.075V. My core (currently stresstesting) is at 4600 at 1.282V.

Not familar with your CPU etc so couldn't say for certain but 1.1v seems a bit low for 4ghz cache considering. mine is at 1.4v while my cpu sits at 1.5v for 4.7ghz respectively for both.

New WHQL Driver gets me higher clocks FSE stable:

Would try more voltage then see if that helps improve stability.

Nope ... air .. wont do that for 20 loops for sure since temps go up fast. what Bios you have got on your FTW ?

I have anything outside a case on a Desk, GTX1080 fans @ 100 % and a 140x140x38mm fan @ 2000 rpm blowing from behind the card. tongue.gif

Stock FTW 130%TDP Bios. 2126mhz seems to be all that this card can reach.

I was convinced to put it on water, but after a lot of testing, I Don't think watercooling it will make it go any further. It'll just make it run cooler, lose a clock or two less for thermal throttle, but I don't see it making this card reach higher clocks.

I am pretty sure you would get more with a FC Blocks and Temps under 50 Degree Celcius. i bet at least 2 -3 steps.

there is less leakage and power consumption when PASCAL stays cool.

Better temps are even more effective than a custom pcb and a beefed up power delivery.
