2050 boost on a no oc strix card is all I can get (stable) and I have had two, both were pretty similar.

On a 3d Mark

powerlimit 120%
+170 coreclock
+505 mem clock
fan 90%

boosts to about 2050/65

firestrike (high-performance 24300 on graphics score)
Time Spy 7845 graphics score

Well 2050/65 isnt that bad or am I wrong? ( on air )
So did I got a good Card or is watercooling the key? I mean I get 8250ish ( graphic ) TimeSpy scores... that is 5% more what I found not that bad actually

I reckon so, as mentioned time and time again I think temp is the key, if you can keep it down then I would expect better performance.

gonna run my time spy bench again. I should be able to get more, looking for that 8000 score

I need to run Timespy. Will do it tonight. Also will install my second card so will post more results.
Why would OC bios make a difference as the card is unable to handle anything beyond the AG clocks? Also card runs at 1670 defaults when not in OC mode and I don't have GPU Tweak 2 installed.

Voltage or fan speed doesn't seem to do anything to my clocks. At +200 the card fails. At 185 it fails Firestrike non Ultra. At 175 it runs Firestrike but fails gaming. So 165 is all I found to be stable. Memory side of things, didn't try more than 500 but many people said they saw lower fps after +500 on their cards.

Oh well. Not the upgrade everyone made it out to be. Going from a 980 Ti classified, I am not seeing the gains (except in DX MD where my AVG for Ultra pre-set at 1440P went from 37.4 to 49.2 fps.

Good question but why I than can hit 2177 stable with OC Bios and not with my non OC Bios ? smile.gif
Makes no sense for me at least...

Depending on game and resolution u can expect about 10-30% improvement (if not CPU limited ofc). The rule of thumb is, the higher the resolution and the more 'advanced' the game engine the higher the gains going from OC 980TI to OC 1080. That's what u can see with Deus Ex.

On average, 1080 OC is faster than 980Ti OC about 25% and than Titan X OC about 15%. Depends on clock, but I'm talking about 980Ti@1500, 1080@2100, TitanX@1450.
