i have compared GTX980Ti @ 1550 and GTX1080 @ 2100 and its about 15% difference.

Game and resolution ? It depends a lot on game/game engine.

What's up fellow 1080 owners! Glad to be part of the group smile.gif

I have managed up to 2189mhz benchmark stable, but with the voltage locked at 1093 that number is definitely not game stable. Currently running 2113-2138mhz, some games will stay at 2113 while others will bump to 2126. Best I can do with this BIOS.

BF4 2560x1440 ... and my i7 runs @ 4.6 GHz.

Seeing the same.

Not sure I would call BF4 a worthy benchmark of modern GPUs. You're not really benchmarking anything other than raw fill rate. This is a game even a 2GB GTX 770 could run at Ultra settings at more than 60fps.

Indeed, that's why there is only a 15% difference. More 'modern' engines will show a difference of up to 30%, espcially at 1440p or 4K. Older engines might show no performance advantage at all.

Something was wrong with your test. Theoretical performance of a 980Ti @1550 is 8729600 FLOPS. The. perf. of a Titan X@ 1550 is 9523200 FLOPS and 1080@2100 is 10752000. 1080 is 23% faster than a 980Ti and 13% faster than Titan X (Maxwell). If you're getting only 15% something is limiting your 1080's performance. Pure compute is 23% and in my own tests I have seen this difference that makes it impossible that 980Ti is as fast as Titan X (can't theoretically be) and thus 1080 so slow in comparison.
