[Official] NVIDIA GTX 1080 Owner's Club - Page 598

Agreed.

I believe that as drivers develop and become more mature, the card will be better utilized by applications. That's why the max overclock may go down a bit as the time goes by. That happend with maxwell aswell. My 970 was rock solid at 1605mhz in the beginning, but had to dial it down a clock or two along the way as drivers improved.

Lost 1 clock with last driver, but performance in FS stayed exactly the same.
IMHO, those who stay with old drivers ONLY because of the clocks are chasing numbers, not performance.

Probably try the Gainward GLH Bios ... got me about 30 MHz higher VRAM Clocks than the EVGA FTW Bioses.

And to my own surprise 2126/5576 got me about the same graphics Score as 2152/5544.

Plus my AMP only needs 1.050V for 2126 and it needs 1.062 V for 2139-2152.

Is it 2-fan ver. or AMP Extreme? And what's the ambient?
2 fan. 22c ambient. Bacall accounts, the only difference between amp models is the cooler.

Hey mate I can give you my experience :
Strix t4 gives me good ans with newest drives stable clocks around 2230 MHz but performance is lower than with the for me best working evga fe bios @ 2177. Also I get more noises with more voltages so it is basically **** for me at least. Only thing : I can say my card boost to mid 2200 clocks - wohoo B-)

Hi, are you saying you have a 1080 Asus Strix and using it with a (EVGA) FE bios?
All OK? Is it safe, the two cards have such different vrm's thinking.gif

I'm asking you cause I also own a 1080 Strix @ Strix OC bios under water as well (Bitspower wb) and is running fine

Basically there hasn't been a proper unlocked bios released yet, but people have been experimenting with crossing different bios' with different cards.

this was from a valley run. 100% core voltage gets rid of per cap issues, and 90% fans keeps te,ps down. 112.4 score though. What do people make of these?

if the clocks are higher than normal and the performance is worse then what's the point ??

nvidia somewhere stated that they'll fix the OC core readings

Yes no problems for some weeks now:-)
Strix OC bios is not the best for me scorewise.. Strix bios gave me same clocks but lower scores.. If u are interested in I can post some pictures tomorrow afternoon :-)
