Timespy seems fine. CPU @ 4.5 and cards at default OC mode (1936 Mhz, Boost 2025)

http://www.3dmark.com/3dm/14591939?

12361 with card at 2063 boost.

9985 in Windows 10.

Personally, my Firestrike score went way down with the newest drivers. You might try 369.09 if you are trying to maximize your bench scores to see if it makes a difference.

Did this evga bios managed to boost all by default up to the same 2088 as the Asus OC or did you need any extra oc?
How about the voltages (cause I didn't play with them yet)?
Any word on the temp differences between the two bioses?
And lastly, what temps did you get at 2177 (I suppose on vdef)? wink.gif

Edit:

I've just run a Time Spy with the Strix OC bios at 2164/1377 vdef:

So that is my average ( range between 8300 - 8315 ) with EVGA FE Bios @ 2177 ( 8303 )thumb.gif
Also stable in games!

When you set the voltage curve you still need to max the voltage slider to 100?
And can you tell me why did you left the top part of the graphic curve straight / linear?
What does this exactly mean?

OK, chickened out today, and didn't put CLU on the GPU.

However replaced the EK Ectotherm (8.5W/mk) with Kryonaut (12.5W/mk). Also replaced the EK thermal pards (3.5W/mk) with Minus Pad 8 (8W/mk).

Idle temps dropped by 5C, full load temps by a staggering 13C......... The card even running Spy & Firestrike Extreme for 3 runs each, non-stop, didn't exceeded 35C.
Overclock...
The card happily runs at 2164 core at 1.075v (locked the curve-voltage with the new MSI AB), giving me 8323 score.
http://www.3dmark.com/spy/386694

2177 @ 1.081 is the maximum all it can go also, giving me 8350 score.
http://www.3dmark.com/spy/386723

However at 1.093v it refuses even 2180 let alone trying for 2189. Any thoughts?

As for re-fitting the MSI Armor with the EK block spend a lot of time today examining the card and having few notes. The backplate diagram makes no sense. There are 2 (VRM or what ever they are called), on the back of the card that leaves without pad. (Added pads to them this time)
While is asks the user to put pad on the other 2 that sitting just on the back of the GPU.
See the red area on the attached pic

Now, since this area of the card is not covered by the block, could you tell me which resistors I can try to connect with CLU? I can see 3, two near the power sockets to the right side, and one to the left.
Do you believe I will benefit at all, or keep the card as is with the overclocks I have obtained and stay there? (ofc I have an itch.... rolleyes.gif)

Thnx.

So I caved and got an Nvidia branded FE yesterday. Beast of a card, but it keeps throttling. I've been reading through this forum but haven't found a direct answer: any solution (custom bios maybe)? I see it's a common issue with afar cards

BTW, I've just spent about £500 for a second hand "new" Asus PG279Q, my wife knows nothing yet tongue.gif

Hahahaha, I'm in the same boat as you guys. Luckily I'm selling my Maxwell Titan X to cover the costs, but she'd still be ticked off as hell if she found out I dropped $700 on a new graphics card

Nothing works if your card is operating above 60C....
Best option you have, watercool it.

No matter what I do, I can't OC the memory on my MSI GTX1080 Gaming. Tried Afterburner, Precision X, stock voltage, 100% voltage, nothing. Tried all offsets from +1 up to +500 and it always crushes or artifacts. Guess I didn't get a good card.... Will have to settle for a 2088 on the core I guess mad.gif
