Now i heard theres some LN2 thing that can make 2400 ghz? does anyone know about that at all?? I thougth that was an msi lightning bios?

See my previous post on this card.

The point on buying this card is that the temps will be in the 60´s vs 80´s in the FE. It´s already well known that OC limit is 99% lottery with Pascal so not much point on buying one model over the other (as it seems BIOS is not going to get modded), but also temps are importante to avoid throttling.

I probably would have just gone with (1) single gtx1080 though. The price steps up so much going with (2) in SLI.

Definitely a powerful laptop.

I had heard reports 2 flexible SLI bridges improved scaling in games like TW3 or The Division. I tried them and noticed no difference whatsoever. Did I miss anything?

Cheers.

It will depend on the res/settings.

I tried 4K at max settings. Watched this video here.

This guy is playing at 4K/60fps and max settings. I go to the same area at night and get 52-53 fps with same GPU and an OC'd 4790K to 4.5.

So, how high have you guys been able to stable run 1080 on water?

You're looking to get the FE?
I have the Zotac ArcticStorm & it pushes 2200+ easily (I can game at 2214mhz, currently). Temps rarely break 40°C.
Water is going to help stop thermal throttling, but it's not like back in the day where you can get much high clocks. It's more about noise/temp/throttling control than pure overclocking, although lower temps never, ever hurt. thumb.gif

I know, but I'm asking because I need to hear if anyone is able to get 2250 or more on water. I'm almost certain it's impossible without a hw mod for voltage, power, etc. I've tested 7 1080s and neither could go past low 2.2 on water, which is just shy from 2.1x on air.

The highest I've gone for benchmarking purposes is 2227. My card throttles down if I push 2230.
I rarely see anything posted about 2250+ unless we are talking hw mods & exotic cooling like you mentioned.
