Memory overclocks can reduce performance if they are in an unstable zone, i believe because more time is spent on error correction than is gained from the increased bandwidth. Worst part is, it's not easy to verify and probably temperature dependent too. I believe some people have found certain core to memory clock ratios to perform better, especially in the days of bitcoin mining, further complicating things.

Increasing core clocks (I think) will never lower performance even if it's unstable. The losses you see are probably just uncertainty.

Well, just out of curiosity I flashed T4 BIOS on my FTW. It bricked it. Switched to backup BIOS, flased stock over it and now everything is fine again.

I'm officially done with cross flashing. I'm happy with the 25.380 points on firestrike my FTW BIOS is giving me.

I just had that itch, you know? tongue.gif

Anyone have the bitspower waterblock for the reference card? I'm thinking of putting my card under water and it's the first time I'm doing this.

Temps have gone down 3-4 Celsius, was 81-82 now 78 max, ignore the "Before" temps bcz thats when the A/C was on and the case open
is this a good result guys? tongue.gif

Try finding a sweetspot where your minimum FPS will be higher. I've tested ROTR extensively and the minimum are quite sensitive to core and memory clocks.

I would say more sensitive to memory clocks than core clocks. Finding a sweetspot on the clocks will give quite consistent high minimum FPS(and good average FPS too).

Example +520MHz mem in my case will almost constantly give me high minimum FPS while adding even +10MHz will drop them heavily.

Referring specifically to the internal benchmark since I haven't even started the game yet so I can't say for sure if this goes for the actual gameplay too.

Gamerock default bios max OC.

Strix T4 bios max OC

I tried the T4 vbios on my Palit Gamerock. Tested it for a few hours. No problems of any sort and voltage, well at least as reported in AB, was working fine.

Didn't gained much actually performance wise and temps weren't that bad over stock bios staying >60'c@80-85% fan speed(3000ish RPM).

Stock bios 100% fan speed is ~2600RPM.which translates to ~70% on the Strix T4 bios.

Reverted back to stock Gamerock bios and performance was about the same.

Interesting to see how many people are using the 'slave' bios on their EVGA cards.

I haven't even tried the 'slave' bios yet but I think today I will do that.
