i'd agree with you.. but that isn't what just happened. It would be as if they just said 21:9 will not be supported and will lock you out of that option. Even though they promised you should still have the option.
This all would have been fine if they didn't release info saying it would still be a choice. Then they wait 2 weeks after the cards were out change the line.
game are still going to come out.. and those game will have the same level of support for 3 and 4 way SLI as they always have.. just not on the 1080.

You can still do it, but there will be no support.
As in you are on your own, if you can make it work, yay, if you can't then too bad.
They only will provide support to 2 way SLI, that's nVidia official stance.
i was fine with that.. but that isn't this new news. They are locking 3/4 SLI out other than benchmarking
but ... it is what it is now... i wouldn't have picked up these cards.. but it is to late. they are slower than my 4 way TitanX
