I haven't had much of a chance to test it properly yet in terms of overclocking - no coil whine that I have noticed so far.

If you run two of these cards right now what type of sli bridge do you use ? Since the nvidia one is no where to be seen, do you just use two of them old ones that ships with motherboards that support sli or ?

Specially if you have water blocks on your two 1080, what type of sli bridge to use then ?

sorry for the language! but how the hell did you manage that? tongue.gif

Water I presume.. have water myself 2 1080.

The memory we have around the same, but you are kicking my ass in the core clock, have around 2072 mhz, msi afterburner with 120% power limit.

I have been using the xtreme utility but GPU boost 3.0 is very strange. I only got 40 MHz with a +100 core offset. I can't get the card past 2000 MHz. How you had any success?

I got up to 2037mhz myself, but it throttles down to 2012 under long time full load and stays there, havnt risked playing with voltages yet, a bit worried to play with a new expensive gpu rolleyes.gif

My three Firestrike scores are valid and high enough to make it to the Hall of Fame for 1 card, yet they don't appear, do you guys know why?

I don't think you can adjust voltage yet. Voltage slider doesn't seem to have any effect regardless at 0 or 100 my voltage doesn't seem to change and doesn't make clocks any more stable.

Even if does work there is no risk in damage due to over volt. Only thing you will only have to keep eye on really are temps.

are you talking about the G1 ? are you using extreme engine or afterburner ?

you can definitely adjust voltage on 1080, but it will only give you a max of ~2100 or so

yea i just tested i notice my boost doesnt down clock as much if i increase slider though i thought voltage increase would be more substantial compared to prev gen or does boost have control?

I really we get custom BIOS that unlocks these limits and to be able to adjust fan curve without software

Just hit 25k graphic score thumb.gif

2125MHz/11200MHz on my Asus Strix 1080GTX
post #900 of 11173
can someone do this for me please and tell me what clocks they are getting with their 1080 g1 gaming, if you set it to oc mode in the xtreme utility, what clocks does it get to in a game?
trying to make some stuff clear,as i will be buying one next week, on their site it says 1860mhz on oc mode, but i think that's before gpu boost 3.0 kicks in.

and on the 1080 strix they are saying 1936mhz, but i think that's AFTER gpu boost 3.0.
