GTX 1070/1080/TITAN X(2ND GEN) BIOS - Who has it? - Page 12

I see that TechPowerUp has the GTX 1070 and 1080 BIOS on their website.

How can I "read" these BIOS? I want to see the power target and voltage table.

I tried it with Maxwell BIOS II Tweaker but it didn't work.

Thanks!

The only way right now is by using a hex editor and knowing the values you're looking for.

We can read the values in HEX...it is not fun... we do not have a GUI interface to translate and present the values in a readable format yet.

Hi guys, so to be able to edit the bios 1080 FE thing you have to use ?? and you get a few more mhz? really impractical but are fascinated by this thing, and I envy you! Also sorry for the bad language. lol

Here is a list of power limits and max RPM of all BIOS from https://www.techpowerup.com/vgabios/.
Every single one of them is useless for 1080FE, max RPM is too low.

*power is in mW, first number is for 100% power limit, second is max

Note, that some cards offer up to 99W power from motherboard, which could lead to reasonable performance.
In 5k resolution, 1080FE is power limited at 120%, default clock and voltage (voltage drops to ~ 0.981v), in almost any game, all the time. Huge disappointment .

Awesome neopsy. +rep for you.

I am checking the values now. I was able to find and edit all pciE values, but I was not able to find the total values.

At 0x2E12A I have 90 000. This should be the total value of 291 000 by default, but it is not.
At 0x2E12E I see 270 000 which is correct for the base total.

By any chance, do you know the offsets for voltages ?

Edit: I found the max value of 291000 at offset 0x2e132...

I have changed my vga bios to the following: (The max values come into play by moving the power target offset slider)

341000 Total
400000 Total MAX

66000 MB
75000 MB MAX

175000 PCIE 1
200000 PCIE 1 MAX

100000 PCIE 2 MAX
125000 PCIE 2 MAX

Now, I am deciding if I am brave enough to try to flash it tongue.gif If anyone is willing to double check the changes I made, please check the attachment.

Xeq54 and I were trying to flash a modified bios without success.

I used joedirt nvflash and nvflash 5.292 from Gigabyte, showing both this error:
