This guy flashed my FTW BIOS onto his card and it seems to work.

That said.... no guarantees.

Yes the card he flashed your bios to was non reference.

I would not risk flashing non ref to reference cards

When you have 2 bios slots to play with then flash away people. But as you said no guarantees.

Yeah I didn't think about the ref vs. non-ref cards in my case!

I got a bit excited cause I compared the BIOSes in hex, found the power settings, fan speeds, all at the same offsets, ect biggrin.gif

Thanks for the feedback guys I suppose it's the best choice to keep holding out until we can flash modded thumb.gif I did find some areas in BIOS that had text relating to certificate checks and few other verifications so I'm sure someone can crack it.

I've flashed that FTW bios into my g1 gaming card and it worked just fine.

Didn't help me at all though.. the limits stay the same and the card couldn't hold my 2100mhz OC, so I flashed back.

We really need to get that bios modding going though!

Could someone upload 1080 FTW bios? To, say, techpowerup for example? Wouldn't mind to test it out, thanks!

Found the benefit of the second BIOS, 122% power limit but fans will not go below 20%.

Does anybody have the MSI 1080 Gaming Z bios? I'd like to flash it onto my MSI 1080 Gaming X since they're basically the same card but with a different clock speed (and some extra LEDs)
