FWIW: I didn't really notice a difference with the CLP on those resistors vs. not having CLP on them.

If your card dies and you never hard modded it in any way then an RMA is legitimate.

Generated to much heat after you pushed it past it's thermal limits and then bypassed it's power throttle that is there to prevent it from cooking itself. It has everything to do with modifying a product in any physical way. If it was running hot to start, why would you think it would be a great idea to run more power through it?

Except for the fact that I don't believe that applying CLP to the resistors would be considered a hard mod, since that would make a change of TIM into a hard mod....Come on now, be real here. Besides that, I noticed absolutely no difference with the CLP on there, since I was still hitting PWR perfcaps. So nice try there.... My card died since it was the weird BB exclusive model, and overheated. thumb.gif

I don't know if it'll help any of you wizards but here is my MSI 1080 Sea Hawk EK X bios. I've got two of them so when a custom bios becomes available, there is a high chance I'll try it on one of them.

Not yet... it's in the workx wink.gif No guarantees this time around it appears NVIDIA gave the MOD BIOS community the middle finger. What the heck do they care if we mod the BIOS, they still got paid....
