Not sure it was more hypothetical thinking.

There are a few different temp thresholds for the boost. I was only experiencing one of them because my temps weren't rising above 54c. If I get my loop up and running I will have a 480 rad for this little guy, maybe I can keep the temps low enough to stop any boost drops.

Any reviews of how the 1070 seahawk ek x is different from any other 1070 with a water block tossed on?

Yes. The block is mounted out of the box and has a dragon logo. I would imagine it will be the only way you can get the logo on the block and backplate.

Let's say I am going to buy a card tonight. Is there any reason why (in terms of features or performance) that I should get a founders edition instead of say something like the EVGA superclocked card which is cheaper?

Got a EVGA GTX 1070 SC from my local Microcenter this past weekend. No regrets yet. Fans don't kick on in a maxed out 3440x1440p Rocket League and runs Witcher 3 @2560x1080 ~65fps and I haven't touched the OC yet. That's out of the box. Sold my old MSI R9 390 and am not looking back at all. Plus I'm saving about 125W of power max.

Source? This doesn't seem true as the PCB is regular size and it only has one 8-pin
