If this is true, I think we may have a winner with the 1070. It's the real deal. thumb.gif

Probably writing this.

I noticed some sites got to this very late, like [H] started just yesterday.

I will give them an award if they send me one or two 1070s for a review rolleyes.gif
I prefer 2 since none of the many reviews I've read so far did a 2-SLI... cutting corners darn sites.

1070oc vs 980tioc let's see

980ti @ 1500mhz = 2816x2x1500= 8.44 teraflops

1070 @ 2200mhz = 1920x2x2200= 8.44 teraflops

pascal has 2-4% less ipc, and 1070 has less bandwidth and rops, so unless 980ti doesn't get any performance boost via future drivers and 1070 does. oc vs oc 1070 can't beat 980ti even if it overclocks to 2200mhz which i doubt. redface.gif

980tioc > 1070oc wink.gif

but if you have a gpu lower than 980ti/tx, can't find better deal on 980ti, care about power consumption and looking for upgrade. GTX 1070 is a better choice because better p/w, more vram*, better dx12/vr performance. thumb.gif

*but lookout for vram usage in 4k, see if it stucks to a value biggrin.gif

That's because amd is barely competition, nvidia has been in competition with itself for years now.

Still not that hyped about the 1070 or 1080 though, holding onto my 980ti.
