Is this from your friend over at Computex? If the 480/X is only as fast as a 970, it better be around $175.

Calm down, those are all speculations.

Placing my bet at 390x+5%.

This feels exactly like the old GT 9800 days.
I bet that it is going to be easy to get a 1080 after launch but the 1070 is going to be sold out for months!

Placing my bet that the AMD guys are sitting around right now wondering how to possibly salvage their situation. Would not surprise me one bit to see anything over $250 delayed by them now.

I have no words if AMD have somehow been caught with their pants down by Nvidia, as hinted to back when Roy Taylor gave that baffling quote where he speculated Pascal cards were going to be no cheaper than $600 and that AMD would grow the 'TAM'.

EDIT, here it is:
Quote:
"The reason Polaris is a big deal, is because I believe we will be able to grow that TAM [total addressable market] significantly," said Taylor. "I don't think Nvidia is going to do anything to increase the TAM, because according to everything we've seen around Pascal, it's a high-end part. I don't know what the price is gonna be, but let's say it's as low as £500/$600 and as high as £800/$1000. That price range is not going to expand the TAM for VR. We're going on the record right now to say Polaris will expand the TAM. Full stop."

I mean, facepalm if they didn't even expect NV to release a 1070 at $379 and they thought they had a winner with 390/970 performance for $250.

The 1070 will be about $800+ here... I'll wait for Vega or for price drops later in the year.

1070 is a decent card though!

Wow... That PCB might be wider than the EVGA Kingpin. That is seriously wide.

The 450USD price tag makes me chuckle though.
