i mean, ohh look, its got inferior perf per $ compared to a 4year old architecture (R9-280X is HD7970 rebrand).

The 280X is a rebrand of the 7970 GHz edition, technically!

It as in the list. This is likely an outdated image with older (not yet crippled? rolleyes.gif) drivers.

Wut? They still didn't beat my old 280x? WTH
Decent card though but it's not gonna beat some of the older GPU in price/perf especially compared to 2nd hand market.

Well first it was reviewers are basing their value conclusion based off of MSRP but retailers are charging more. So then you ask me, who has no knowledge of your financial situation, if you should buy it. You will have to decide for yourself if you should buy it. rolleyes.gif

Come on man,i was being sarcastic:p.This price is pure robbery and i make enough money to buy 20 of them, unfortunately that's not my only hobby.Frankly there is no need to buy anything more than a 1070,unless you game at 4k already.I prefer to wait until 2018-2019 where a proper 4k card comes along with a good 40inch 4k OLED tv priced hopefully no more than $1500.

1070 $580 MSRP in Europe, Nvidia you know where you can shove those 1070 to. $349, yeah as if, as if. They priced it the same 980s were sold for.
