Actually other products don't suffer from this as badly as Nvidia GPUs as strange as it may seem. Sure the tax and all adds a little but I have seen many products cost the same in USD in US and converted from EU EUR prices to USD. Nvidia is simply milking due to low stock.

The more I read the reviews of the 1070 and 1080 the more I get annoyed.

Read Eurogamer's review of the 1070 (I don't normally go there) and apparently the 1070 can be had from £330. Question: WHERE?!?

In the opening para they do say there has been a price hike as AIB 970s released at £250 but these are £330. But the price hike is actually around £140. As the cheapest non-reference design 1070 is MSI's Armour at £390. £390!!

https://www.overclockers.co.uk/search?sSearch=gtx+1070

970 released at £250
1070 currently at £390.

Shocking prices. The average price of the AIB 1070s is an absurb £400-450. That's approaching 980 Ti release prices ffs. These prices will likely drop but not for a good several weeks I am betting. So as it stands right now, the astonishing price/performance value of 1070 is in reality 980 Ti+ performance around 1 year later, for a £60-70 discount. Hardly as great as the reviewers made this card out to be in terms of value proposition. Certainly in the UK and worse still in Europe from what I have read.

Her in Denmark kids start about a week into August but it probably take a while before people start looking for new cards. I think the big rise in buying of electronic are in October.

or if you don't wanna pay extra, then grab the GTX1070.
I think I might grab that $510 Titan X and put it on water, like a bracket + 120/140mm aio ? would still cost me less than 1080, whaddya think?

I think that my head hangs every time I see a high quality GPU ghetto rigged like that. I also think that you are being incredibly foolish spending $610 plus (card plus ghetto rig) on a Titan X rather than a 1080.

Yeah, if you are going to end up spending 1080 money, just get a 1080.

OP updated with SLI video review.

Review is sub optimal as cards are mismatched but still, better than nothing wink.gif

You want GTX1080. Titan X is no upgrade for you.
