I can hope that SystemInfo validating the 1070 will help, but I highly doubt it?
Slow memory.Firestrike scale better with faster memory. You have only 9454Mhz.
I have managed 21 100 point with 2100-2164/9520Mhz.

There are few better results with memory at 9800Mhz and core only 2100mhz

and also, I do not believe those companies will dump the resources into going that route simply because they are waiting for the 1080Ti to be released. Ever head of an MSI 980 (non-ti) Lightning? Me neither. That's because the Ti's will be for the big big cards.

And i'm pretty sure at that point, binning 1070s isn't relate-able to them binning 1080s for the Ti's. I don't think that's possible when the Ti is such a jump from a normal card. Nvidia will have to manufacture them before they could even be binned.

At which point - in my case, the Amp Extreme is Zotac's highest end revision card. I fully expected them to release just the AMP version, but they went forward and released the Amp Extreme. Which is exactly why I went for it. It was the only card that went toe to toe with the Kingpin back when the 980ti's we're the newest things out.

Well a GTX 770 Lightning existed, so it's not a total improbability. However, I think with the Gaming X and Gaming Z, they've either replaced the lightning or are indeed going to wait for a Ti.

Thanks for the reply. I believe your monitor runs at 60hz correct? Can you OC the refresh any? I'm looking at the X34 which runs at 100hz, but not sure if I want to spend $1200 bucks on it.

Have you tried 2 regular single ribbon SLI connectors? I saw some test where they gave the same performance as the HD bridge. http://www.hardwareunboxed.com/nvidias-hb-sli-bridge-surprising-gains-gtx-1080-sli-testing-inside/

Finally got a stable OC, basically a 10+fps gain.
On MSI Afterburner with the power limit maxed out:
| +680 MHz [Memory Clock]
| +150 MHz [Core Clock]

Stress tested it with FurMark, max temps I got was 80C (custom fan curve).

Yes, sorry. I saw you guys talking about voltage and I didnt notice that it was because of the new core/voltage curve.
With +100 core my boost goes to 2050mhz with some drops to 2026 mhz.

So picked up a Gainward Phoenix 1070 today (not the GLH unfortunately, none available here at the moment), but pretty happy with it. Not overly impressed with the overclock on it or the memory clock, but I guess that's the lottery. These results are the best I've been able to get, anything more on the core or memory will cause the drivers to crash.. frown.gif But it's a HUGE improvement over my old 780ti! thumb.gif

I tried overclocking my monitor, but to no avail. There were dropped frames when I overclocked it even just to 70hz.

I actually had 2 bridges before this, one was a solid bridge, the other was a ribbon bridge, both connected at the same time. It was still slightly stuttery, but not bad. After getting the HB SLI bridge, the stutters all but went away. Since you're planning on getting a high refresh 3440x1440 monitor, I really would recommend the HB SLI bridge. You will more than likely see the difference.

I just ordered a Gigabyte 1070 G1 Gaming that gets here tuesday. biggrin.gif

Im going to showcase some severe ignorance here so feel free to tease me if needed. redface.gif

How easy are these cards to overclock?
I could never get the hang of pushing my 780 and I assume the 1070 is a similar situation in regards to base clock OC, Boost OC, thermal and voltage throttling etc?
Does anyone know of a simple-easy-stupid OC guides for these cards because they are a total overclocking mystery to me.
(the last time I successfully OCd a card was a GTX480)
