[Official] NVIDIA GTX 1070 Owner's Club - Page 108

Finally ran Time Spy. Here's my score with the Strix O8G using OC Mode from Asus GPUTweak and 6700k at 4.6ghz. Seem kinda low doesn't it? I tend to get lower graphic score than most other 1070 owners. Don't really know why. The thing boost to 2050MHz and doesn't throttle down at all. Am I experiencing that latency issue everyone talking about?

Try pushing the memory clock up - it can really improve your scores. Seems like a lot of cards can do +500 at least.

I also have a question. Which sli bridge do I need for to GTX 1070 Amp edition cards on a MSI z97s sli krait MB? Will I need long or short bridge?

4k SLI, you will need the HB SLI bridge for the best experience. How many slots are there between your cards? (a picture will probably help more than explaining it)

MSI deleted Updated-BIOS for set OC-MODE default.

reason?

I was really hoping this group would become like the GTX 970 owners club, but it doesn't seem that way. Is there just not a lot of interest in this card? The 1080 thread is far more active.

EDIT: also, it looks like the rush for 1070's is over. Newegg has them in abundance at the moment.

I created a thread on OCN the other day about an issue with my new GTX 1070,
I also found a fix, it seems that after removing the MSI Gaming app the problem was gone, I reinstalled the gaming app just to verify my findings
and the problem game back again, upon removing the app the problem was gone, I'm posting this in case any of you might be having any problems.

Here is the copy of my thread from a week ago.

07/11/2016
I have had my MSI GTX 1070 Gaming X since July 5, it has been running perfect with a boost core clock of 1974mhz out of the box. I have not over clocked it yet as I don't see a need to, Today I was looking at the sensors with GPU-Z and when I ran the gpu test the cards core clock only boosted to 1151mhz and voltage only went to 0.68 when up until this it would boost to 1974mhz and voltage of 1.06, I tried 3 times with the same result so I rebooted my system and it's back to normal. also if it matters I do not have the dpc latency issue that others are having as I tested for that. So what I am asking is would this be a driver problem or is my brand new GTX 1070 a bad graphics card (pile of poop) ? never had the problem with any of my other nvidia gpu's even though I over clocked all of them, GTX 295, GTX 580 sli, GTX 680, GTX 970.
Thank you.

The price to performance isn't there yet. People are just looking at the 1070 like a less expensive, warmed over 980 Ti (performance wise.) Problem is, you can find deals on 980 Ti at about the same price as a lot of the overpriced 1070s out there today. Nobody should be spending more than $500 for a 1070 (just my opinion.) I paid MSRP for my Founders Edition 1070s, only because they happened to be on the shelf, I was able to sell my TITAN X and waterblock to cover most of the cost of the two 1070s, and they didn't have the 1080 in stock.

The 1080 is so much faster than anything else that isn't overclocked to the gills, that's where all the activity is, at least for right now.

On another note, managed to improve my scores a little bit. From what I am seeing on the TITAN X forum, a 12,000 graphics score in Time Spy is respectable for 2-way SLI.
