Had to undo my OC settings last night after a crazy spat of the drivers failing over and over for no clear reason. Not much of a loss though since OCing didn't seem to make much a difference.

Got this beast yesterday:

Lets see what kind of OC it does.

Less than 2000 MHz and its going back.

Hi, a new guy here. Got my hands on a MSI 1070 Gaming X...
Boosts 1936mhz by default and got it run through firestrike with 2075mhz / 9100mhz+

Nice overclock! Is the +135 offset on the core carried out from the gaming or the oc profile? Remember that without the latest BIOS update the GPU always by default starts in the gaming profile and not the overclock one! What are your other system specs, in particular how much is your CPU overclocked? I have a Z97 Haswell system with a Xeon E1231v3 overclocked to a mild 4Ghz... but after overclocking the 1070 can only get an average of 100FPS in Unigine Heaven... so you are beating my by a 5% margin. Just want to figure out what can explain it. Also for some strange reason my version of MSI Afterburner can raise the max temps only to 92, not 96. But I am not sure if this will make any difference...

Nice, I am using some beta version of MSI's Afterburner which I thought was the latest one. Never mind! My rig is now also stable at:

Power Limit: +126
Temp limit: 92
Core Clock: +120
Mem Clock: +500

but at least on one occasion my GPU driver crashed when pushing the core to +125, which was during a Firestrike run. Also I noticed that in the OC range of +100-125 the dynamic boost rate always eventually throttles back (for example in Unigine Valley) to a value of 2060-2090Mhz, which squares with earlier reports that these GPUs tend to max boost dynamically into range of 2000-2100Mhz no matter what.

Here you go: http://www.3dmark.com/3dm/12654708

I tweaked the clocks a bit. Seems like 2063-2050MHz area is pretty stable on core. The memory I got running @ 9216MHz.
Temps never go above 75C with a mild fan profile. Seems like I need a volt mod bios next.
