Guys,
These OC's you are posting here, do you actually use for gaming or just for bench?

EDIT: also, it looks like the rush for 1070's is over. Newegg has them in abundance at the moment.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&IsNodeId=1&N=100007709%20601201888%20601204369%208000

It's been said, but it is very true. The 1070 is a very good card at it's price. And I think at a MSRP of $380, it would've been killer. But there's not a lot of cards hitting even close to that point, and we're looking at what people were getting good deals on GTX 980s for. I think most users looking forward to this card were looking for it to be a really 350-400 tops card and then it would have been a true 970 successor. I loved my 970s smile.gif.

It's also a strangely niche card. I got one for my GFs rig and while I haven't been able to test it like I'd like just yet, just based on reviews, I felt it a waste to use it with 1080p. However, it's not quite there for all games at 1440p with high refresh rate. Thus I gave her my 1440p panel and went 4K on my rig. I just can't imagine enjoying SLI 1070s for 4K. I don't mind making compromises on AA with titles, but with the 1070s, I'd have to compromise more than that to maintain 60 frames, and for me, that's no bueno. UlWQHD and QHD with high refresh are what I think 1070/1070 SLI fits into perfectly.

I game and benchmark and do everything with my overclock. If it's stable, it's stable.

Others who push their fan speed to 100% and push memory to the limit probably just do it for the sake of benchmarking.

Hey I have that same case in black biggrin.gif What are you fans configuration? My case is having negative pressure despite the 3 intakes fans at the bottom running 1300 rpm, 1 exhaust in back at 750rpm, 2 on the corsair h100i v2 exhaust.

I am keeping my OC at +100 core (2063mhz boost), +500 memory and 70% fan. With this my card works at 109% TDP and 1.081V, the temps dont go higher than 58ºC.
I didnt have any problem yet. It passed the stress test from 3DMark.

I am just asking because benchs are only 5 min long, but usually I game for more then 2h!! biggrin.gif
