Thanks guys.. I was 95% sure it would be enough from building experience and using online PSU Calculators but i wanted some feedback from guys that already own 1070's.

Just a random question to throw out, is there any brands of Nvidia cards that needs to be avoided? I've never owned an Nvidia card. From what i can tell, Zotac, EVGA and Asus are the top sellers.

My Zotac 1070 Amp is doing alright. Fan is very quiet. According tp reviews it runs a bit hotter than other cards, but for me it runs at 75C at 70% fan at 180W and the fan is pretty quiet. Ambient is 30C.

Highest temp I've seen on my MSI Gaming X is 56C so far. I can't speak about fan noise or coil whine though, my hearing is shot from the flight deck.

I just posted my highest Time Spy benchmark and that is after playing gears of war ultimate at 4k and everything set to highest.

My highest temp is 59 after gaming and running Time Spy. My game was Gears of War Ultimate 4k settings at max and overclock core at 2076 memory at 2276, fan 100%.

My 1500/1989 results from 980Ti. Wondering if I should get rid of the 980Ti. (AKA slap it into an folding rig for 24/7 folding along with the others.) and get myself either a 1080 or 1070. Can someone post benchmarks to the firestrike Extreme test for me?

I would love if they're were overclocked pretty good. 24/7 stable OC and not benchstable. thumb.gif

Cheers! smile.gifcheers.gif

Wait for 1080Ti bare minimum.

Your score is showing that something isn't stable. At 1500 you should be right around the 10k gpu score mark, not barely beating mine @1455. Here's mine:

Here is mine on a GTX 1070 AMP with a I5 4690k: http://www.3dmark.com/3dm/13410105
GPU clock is 2063 Memory clock 2276. My GPU is a little more than the 980ti but my physics score holds me down.

I think my system with 2 x 1080s is pushing 550W at full tilt and that's a wall reading WITH my monitor, amp, and DAC included (i.e. about 70w or so between the 3). I bought the x1250 back when I planned on doing crazy things with my 780 to eventually go SLI, but that plan was cut short with some bad luck redface.gif. You've got a solid unit in your sig, so you shouldn't have an issue at all.

I actually don't think there's any brand to really avoid. However, people generally loathe ASUS RMA support. Gigabyte seems fine as they're holding up a decent service-level with RMA'ing my mouse. EVGA has been good to me the couple of times I had to use them. That's about it as far as GPUs (thankfully).
