Added security level thumb.gif Something that could come in handy for modders.

Here is a review for the palit gamerock one,
https://www.computerbase.de/2016-06/palit-geforce-gtx-1070-gamerock-test/

I just sent my msi gamer x back and am replacing it with that gpu you are looking to buy.
Okay so what I'm gathering here is that Palit is actually a BIG manufacturer with great reputation and products, but it gets less marketing because it's more guided to Asian markets yeah? If I had to guess I'd say it's not readily available in the US leading to small amount of reviews.

So the Palit Super Jetstream 1070 should be as good, if not better, than any other 1070 from say Asus, MSI, Gigabyte and so on? I like the aesthetics and it'll fit my build the best. From the info I managed to gather it has a hefty out-of-the-box OC but is capable of +2MHz like the others, disregarding silicon lottery ofc.

E: What are the differences between GameRock and Super Jetstream besides colors? They seem like the same card all around spec wise

The palit cards have the highest oc out of the box actually maybe aside of the asus strix. Even higher than the water cooled msi one.

The super jetstream is clocked higher than the gamerock, and it supposedly has 2 vrms more and is designed for oc's. However, you have also the premium gamerock, which is the highest out of the box oc'd gtx 1070 of all brands. So get the super jetstream, unless you like the blue color the gamerock offers.

So, the excitement begins. Anandtech is releasing their 30+ page GTX 1080/1070 review tomorrow. I poked Ryan Smith (Editor in Chief at Anandtech) in the comments of this hard drive review and he CONFIRMED OUR SUSPICIONS.

GPU Boost 3.0 actually starts reducing your maximum GPU boost at possibly even 39C! He was kind enough to tease this image from tomorrow's upcoming review.

So....all the more reason to water-cool? haha, well, if you care about ~70MHz, that is.

Thanks mate for all the input, appreciated! I'll be grabbing the Super Jetstream then, prefer it aesthetically over the GameRock personally. If you end up going with the SJS yourself be sure to share your thoughts via PM or by quoting onto this thread!

I don't really understand this new GPU Boost 3.0 mambo jambo and i'm getting frustrated because it is so god damn unstable.Back in day with my good old GTX970 if you can hit 1500mhz without any error that's it there was no sudden 50mhz drops or there was no "keep me at 50celcius or i'm not going to boost myself up" type of ****.

As an EVGA 1070 SC owner i set custom fan curve then i overclocked as this:

+60 core v , +50mhz gpu , +500 mem , %112 power target.

Then i increased gpu +50 to +60mhz,gpu-z told me that i can reach higher boost as you can expect but i got lower graphic score in Timespy then i got with +50mhz increase. At that test card hit max 71celcius but the highest boost clock that gpu-z read was 1987mhz and highest vddc 1.0620v.

How is other 1070 SC users doing any suggestion for hitting at least stable 2000mhz,i don't expect anything higher then that at the moment.

200% to 300% Increase on Graphics Score was what i was hoping for. smile.gif

Question:
What Graphics Scores have ppl gotten with new PCs on GTX1070-SLI?
(sry to ask but i'm burned out after 4 hours non-stop working, missed lunch, and headed for food. Oh, and my google broke wink.gif... lol) the four week wait for cards was worth it, too! soooo happy. biggrin.gif

Tanks! smile.gif

(Valley comparison next.)

You should definitely invest in a new processor. That's a horrible GPU score just 200 points higher than my previous 970 SLI setup... redface.gif

whicker mentioned he wasn't able to achieve the OC'd Strix speeds on his regular Strix. Is it possible manufacturers are binning?

I've been seeing some blower models pop up under $400...very tempting.

I think you just didn't notice it, GPU Boost has always behaved that way when you're close to the limits. Hell, I spent several hours closely watching the frequencies on a GTX 980 non-Ti just last week bouncing around in GPUPI1B. I did eventually manage a run through at 1,700 MHz but not before about 200 runs of it bouncing down as low as 1,640.
