If i force my fans to 100%, my card never goes above 59c at 100% full tilt.

wrong. bios locked at 1.09. hardware locked at 1.25. once modded bios are out, you'll be needing a waterblock.

That's interesting. I have never used that liquid metal stuff but it looks easy enough to work with. If bios modding doesn't happen, I may have to give this a try.

I've seen it dip into the 40s at 1440p and 4K with SLI 1070s (and even the high 30s in the most intense area I've found) with an overclocked 5930K running at 4.5 GHz. Which, to me, means the game is CPU bound and would have benefited greatly by something like DX12 increased draw calls (as others have mentioned elsewhere.) What I'm saying is, the game is demanding in Boston and a locked 60 fps is basically impossible.

I know what you're saying. I keep up on the Fallout 4 Discussion Thread as well. More people are up in arms complaining about that than anything else there. I'm level 73 in the game and rarely spend enough time downtown to let it ruin my day. And yes, the pattern with Bethesda games is that they are indeed CPU bound. That isn't news. Another common trend with Bethesda is their lack of updates that actually *fix* things - like the problem you're describing.

I don't understand why you tried to negate what I was saying in regards to 3440x1440 being a dream when you have already come to a decision about your issue not being GPU related.

I didn't negate it, I'm saying we both have opinions. Your opinion is not more or less valid. My point was that I don't think it's a dream, and for those who want a locked 60fps, it's not in that game.

p.s. "That isn't news."...wasn't necessary to make your point. Debate tactics are just not necessary on a forum where you are trying to have a congenial conversation.

My FE card with single 8 pin in firestrike floats between 2088-2125 core at its highest, with 9000mhz memory. I havent had it crash in a bench yet either. Great card, founders edition is the best looking too, in my opinion anyway.

Yea, I was reading some bad reviews about it, but I've been very happy with mine. My computer is water cooled with no fresh intake, and the GPU stays around 65 while playing Overwatch.
