[Official] NVIDIA GTX 1070 Owner's Club - Page 281

Aye comrades smile.gif yesterday i join nVidia and gtx1070 club, my last gpu from nvidia was GeFroce 4MX x), now i have GTX 1070 Palit Super JetStream why palit? I watched some test and the graphics is most quiet high base oc good cooling unit and also low price i bought mine for 470 euro(524$ dollars), and i want ask you few questions.

1. Is there no fan and oc control under nvidia panel like in amd panel?
2. My card have 1835mhz boost clock which is lowest guaranted boost (as i heard) but in gaming my gpu hits 2035mhz
3. How to overlock? is there like overlocking base clock and boost clock? or any more options?(in amd i just touch power limit volts and clock of course smile.gif and boost was fixed )
4. Which program is good for burning test/stability for nvidia? (i used furmark in amd)

Also greetings from Poland biggrin.gif

Does DX12 make CPU performances running slower than on DX11??
does anyone here have 3570K & Hitman 2016 game?

What?!! I'm using just a 2600K that's overcloked to 4.6GHz.. I was under the impression that the CPU won't bottleneck a 1080 let alone a 1070.

My 3570k only did in games which can make use of multithreading. Like gtav etc your 2600k overclocked will out do a 3570k in multithreaded games. I just upgraded my 3570k@4.7 to a 3770k. I have a gtx 1070. Might do some testing. GTAV got the i5 cpu usage hanging around the 90% mark were as my htpc woth gtx750ti and i7 2600, kept cpu usage around 50-60%

Whew, that is a relief then. I guess I'll test everything out when I get my 1070.

Other games runs just fine though, Witcher 3 & GTA5 pretty much butterly smooth 1080p nearly maxed out 60hz adaptive vsync on. even though sometimes dips down to 50FPS-ish. (GTA 5 grass is on very high detail.)

I might want to make a video of it. It's real laggy on hitman dx12 with older i5 system.

It seem Hitman with Dx12 mode on, make CPU runs a lot heavier than DX11.(especially in Hitman Marakesh Dense area).
This Lags didn't occur when running on DX11.( It still playable but still hit as low as 38-40FPS.)

Game is installed on SSD.

I also curious with this, anyone play hitman game with older i5 system can confirm this? do you notice a massive lag on Marakesh level especially on DX12 API? (settings in game are maxed out 1080P, no supersampling,SMAA on, DX12)

I don't know of anyone on the forums who claims ownership of a Gaming Z, availability has been very limited to date also so I dont think there has been huge sales of the Z.

All the review samples have been samsung.

MSI GTX 1070 Gaming X

Open the Nvidia Control panel and set it to "maximum performance" in the 3D settings section

Open the curve in afterburner (Ctrl-F). Select a point up at around 1.093v press "L" and a vertical line will appear in the graph. Press the tick box in AB to apply. You can then try cranking up the memory.

You want the card sitting up at at least 800MV or you will end up with checkerboard artifacts with the higher memory clocks. Without the voltage lock, the card will artifact like crazy at about +500 and above. With the Voltage locked, my MSI Gaming X that is identical to yours will run at up to about +600 but introduces artifacts from about +550Mhz

I Just did some testing on Hitman Marrakesh Dense Bazaar Area, all option set to LOW as possible, 1280x720P,

Framerates still can't do a solid +60FPS, still dips down to ~50FPS ish

Just confirmed Yes, Hitman Marrakesh Level is very CPU BOUND game, Holy crap GG(3570K @4,2ghz.)

Maybe this is what happen if '3dmark combined scores' comes to real world games.
