EDIT: Canceled order, Amazon 1-2 months for MSI Armor, no thanks! I'm keeping Titan Black (if ASUS repairs under warranty).

EDIT #2: Got lucky, found in stock Newegg, bought MSI 1070 Armor... will look good with white/black theme on my gaming rig.

I had to wipe my OS to get my 1070 to work because my win10 was broken in a way that I wasn't even aware of till i got the 1070. It wouldn't upgrade past the launch build. I have done some testing and was able to get it above 1900MHz and sometimes stable above 2000 but it would fall back down into the high 1900s. I haven't had much chance to see how it works in many games yet.

I've tried WoW, and overwatch. In WoW my FPS seems to not have moved at all, quite a discouraging first test actually, but I believe this has to do with the game because when I jumped into overwatch, live gameplay was easily double the FPS of my 780 FTW, which usually hung around 55FPS and sometimes went into 60FPS. The 1070 at stock in the game however hangs around 100+ FPS, although I only had time for one match and didn't pay attention to the FPS during combat, I am certain that performance was stable.

I may jump into Warhammer later tonight and see whats up in that game now that I have more memory than the game can work with.

Edit: Today I was able to get my card above a stable 2000MHz, only dropping below 2000Mhz during some of the transition scenes on the Heaven Benchmark, so they were split second drops. The Core clock usually stuck around 2063 until the heat slow crept up, if I can manage the heat I believe I can keep it close to 2100 MHz. I was able to get it up to 2100MHz for a few seconds but have not had time to play with it to see if I can keep it stable. I have had the drivers crash on me a few times trying to boost it up but just not enough time to do what I want.

The fan on the FE is not loud and I can keep it close to 70 degrees Celsius at only 60% fan speed and even at that % its not very loud at all. Plus I have headphones on so the sound is even more drowned out, but even someone around without headphones would not be bothered by the sound of the fan. If anything its just as quiet if not quieter than my 780 FTW. The card is running on air and I have no plans to get a waterblock. There's been no coil-whine or any other annoying sounds to come from the GPU and appears to be able to stay relatively cool when under a load, but again I need more time with the card to make any solid decisions.

So far I'm impressed and see no reason to trade into an AIB card. If you haven't gotten a 1070, but plan to get one, I would wait for them to become more readily available just so that you can get the card at a cheaper price with supposed better coolers. A waterblock on this card is probably overkill.

Will update when I get home and get more time on the card.

Here's a first Firestrike Ultra result. Looks like I have the highest score for a single 1070 and 4770k currently! Woot haha

Dunno if I wanna spend 25$ for a benchmark tool. You are number 1 with a single card.

That's a pretty nice result for the 1070 G1 just being stock. I had to add 100 mhz to my FE to match it.
