[Official] NVIDIA GTX 1070 Owner's Club - Page 32

That's the one I was talking about.

There's a few other buried a few pages back as well, but that's the main one as far as I can tell.

This is worrisome, last time I had an NVIDIA card (GTX 470 and GTX 670), I had to deal with stuttering and CPU usage issues on some pretty big titles, the biggest ones being Battlefield Bad Company 2 and Battlefield 3. I certainly don't want a repeat of that scenario.

I remember the stuttering issue with BF3 when I had my 660 Ti. I think it may have been a Windows 7 issue, becuase so far, I have found absolutely no issues with performance with my 1070 and Windows 10. It was also the same story for my previous GTX 780; no issues.

I am on Windows 10 with my 1070 and didn't notice this issue with my 980. I don't know if what I am seeing is the same thing that thread is in regards too, but I am/was having the issue in Fallout 4 and Farcry 4. I have messed around with settings and think I have the issue taken care of with those games, but I still have some strange"mouse lag" issues when navigating Windows that I can't explain. Not a gigantic issue right now, but still annoying.

I have a general question about the card an windows 10. When I was using win 10 after a fresh install, the OS had trouble recognizing the card. Even when i tried to install the drivers using the nvidia installer I received the message that the device is incompatible.

Looking pretty awesome if I say so myself -

Do you have second ribbon bridge for SLI? It will work better than if you only use single ribbon bridge. (Like HB SLI Bridge)

My last post about the Newegg situation.
Finally the package has been discovered or sent, Canada Post finally received it today.
I asked Newegg not to send it with Canada Post since there's about a 90% chance they go on strike and my package gets stuck in limbo starting July 2nd, they said they were aware and emailed me about a switch to Purolator.
Yet they've gone ahead and given it to Canada Post anyway, it's now in transit with Canada Post.

So if Canada Post strikes, I'm getting a full refund from Newegg and never using them to buy anything ever again.
I'll stick with NCIX and all the other Canadian retailers that are smart enough to be avoiding using Canada Post because of the upcoming strike.

My Gigabyte 1070 WindForce OC will now arrive next Wednesday on the slim chance Canada Post doesn't strike.
Remember though, that's not a delay according to Newegg. It's only a whole week after the estimated delivery date. Definitely not delayed, definitely on time.

That sucks. I hardly ever use Newegg anymore. Got burned a couple of times and only buy cheap (under $50) stuff if I can't find it anywhere else.

I ordered me Gigabyte 970 G1 from them at launch and a handful of other things and they were fine, I don't know what happened.
It sucks that they're screwing up with the most expensive item I have ever purchased for my PC...

They've lied about it being in transit, ignored proof that it wasn't, say they'll do as I request and go with Purolator as it says on their tracking anyway, ignore that still and go with Canada Post despite knowing of the strike.
It's like they just really couldn't care less, they don't listen to anything you have to say.
I'm ending up taking out of my frustration here because I'm remaining civil with them, but it gets nowhere, they're so bad.

I just want my 1070 on time and in one piece, and they aren't doing a thing to make that possible and are screwing everything up.
They say they'll do something or they'll say something is happening, meanwhile the exact opposite is happening and they don't do anything to change it when you're off the phone.

NewEgg, your #1 source of lies and unfulfilled requests.
It's a $550 CAD order, you'd think they might give a **** at least slightly.

I have been really impressed with acoustics and cooling capability of my GTX 1070FE. Looks sweet as too. Had the aircon set to 26°c the other night played doom on ultra 2560x1440. Highest temp I got was 74°c with fan at 70% clock speed was bouncing between 2000-2100mhz. Mem was only oc'd to effective 8500mhz. Awesome for a stock card imho
