correction 3.9 is 2 cores, 3.8 is 3 cores

@Waleh

Ok, I was at a friends house wo runs a i5 6600k this Morning to help him with a Problem on his machine.
After I was finished I took the opportunity to test a little.

The voltage behavior at Bios defaults is exactly the same as with your processor, so that is actually not unusual but the dynamic voltage/frequencies arrangement the i5 Skylake does on stock settings.

That doesn't change the fact that your Physics Score is low at Fire Strike and that the Temp3 and following temperatures are to high if they are correct.

What is Afterburner reporting as your max GPU core voltage under load?
Does it all.

@Roland0101

So, a few things.

I got a response from the HWinfo Admin and it seems like the temp readings 1) are not VRMs 2) are not accurate and can be disregarded. This is what he said:

"Why do you think that Temp 3-6 are VRM temperatures? Those are just generic values from the sensor, which I believe are not correct (most probably not connected inputs on your mainboard providing erratic values). So I suggest not to worry about those and just ignore them."

Second, I OC'd my CPU to 4.3 on stock voltage and ran the x264 OCN Stress test overnight with no crashes as well as aida x64 for an hour or so (The OCN Stress test was more taxing) and I averaged around 68 degrees during the stress periods.

I also redid the firestrike test and got:

http://www.3dmark.com/3dm/15276328

OC'ing my CPU seems to have helped in games too. GPU usage has gone up in some titles like BF4 quite a bit. Again, my 1070 has 210 MHz on the core clock and 600 MHz on the memory (Samsung memory, FE). I could probably go higher but I'll just settle with this for now. thumb.gif

Does that look better now?

Yes it does.
The only thing I would look at is vcore and VID under load. The bios will adjust this settings automatically on auto. I don't think that the values are to high considering your Temps, but it's better to be sure.

I use RealBench it works really well. I start with the 15min test to start, and then 4-8 hours at night. It will run and notify you of instabilities. I believe you can download from Asus' website.

So I ran x264 (OCN version) again for about 30 min to stress the CPU. I used HWmonitor to look at the values.

Vcore- Value (during stress): 1.232 V Min: 0.608 V Max: 1.248 V

VID- Value (during stressing): 1.213 V Min: 1.193 V Max: 1.256 V
