[Official] NVIDIA GTX 1070 Owner's Club - Page 45

Did some more tweaking, used DDU to do clean uninstall of the drivers and then installed fresh.
Started using Afterburner instead of PrecisionX.

Power Limit: 112% (Temp Limit 92C)
Core Clock: +110 (Dropped to +105 for stability reasons)
Mem Clock: +600

Heaven has a much better score now:

I gained a decent bump in the graphics category in Firestrike as well: http://www.3dmark.com/fs/9158103
Went from 14322 to 15274.

Seeing around 2062MHz under full load. And had a good gain on the Mem clock:

We will see how much the Xeon X5675 helps me out when I get that upgrade taken care of.

Edit: I wanted to add it's insane how the temps don't even get to 60C, my old 560 Ti was a space heater compared to this thing. And it's so quiet in comparison, also no coil whine.

Okay so - with gigabyte "gaming OC mode" on their program my G1 my 3d mark score is 15643

That seems low compared to what a lot of yall are getting.

Running a stock 6700k

Any tips or ideas on what I'm doing wrong

I take it that's your total score and not your graphics score? If so, that's what most of us are getting score wise.

Here's mine for comparison.

Yeah total score. Graphics score I'm at 19827

sorry new to this - is overall score not this topic of conversation?
I should only be looking at graphics score?

When discussing graphics cards, graphics score is generally what people are talking about, yes. Overall score depends on what CPU you have, which makes for poor comparisons as one person could be running a 6600K and someone else a 6800K, in which case they'd get very different overall scores despite having similar graphics score. Unless you have a very significant CPU bottleneck, the processor won't affect graphics score very much.

That's normal, what's your graphics score?

When you see people posting their scores, it's usually their graphic scores in the 19000 to 21000 range.

Comparing graphic scores is more fair between GPU's as opposed to overall scores that combine both the graphic score and the physics score (which is purely based on your CPU power).

Does anyone else have the Gigabyte 1070 WindForce OC? Curious about others experiences.
Feels bad man, not even being stable at 2000mhz core...

Every single person I've seen who has overclocked their 1070 in every thread on every site I've seen has done better than me... I've yet to find anyone struggling to get above 2000mhz, everyone else is struggling to get their 2100mhz. frown.gif

I have the Gigabyte G1 version and it is stable at ~2060Mhz in overwatch without bumping up voltage, mine has trouble with memory, can't get over +360 without artifacts afterwards.
But I am happy with it.
