i am aware of that. But that doesn't mean Nvidia is prepared to give you free performance. They want you to buy 1080... (higher tier GPU in genreral)

First off, I was one of those unfortunate customers to get Micron VRAM. If I'm getting 2038/8496MHz, should I RMA the card? I saw white checkerboard once yesterday, but I was OCing the VRAM to 8996MHz and core to 2114MHz. It's been fine since I toned it down. Temps are 38-42C under full load. I was not even aware of this issue. I just that my card could not do 9GB and the VRAM oc was too high, lol.

Unless you have problems on default frequenzy u have no reason to rma, thats what u are sold, no OC is quaranteed.
