I'd say go 1070 - can SLI that in the future
post #52 of 9481
Just ordered an MSI Armor 1070 and I should get it in two days. I was going to get the 1080 at first, but I rather wait for the 1080Ti and enjoy the 1070 in the meantime.

Wait for the 1080ti. SLI optimization usually is available at game release but not fully optimized.

Why not sell your 980 and then pay a small difference to upgrade to a 1070? tongue.gif

So I just built my PC and used a 750W Platinum 80+ power supply - think its good for SLI 1070's in the future? I'm thinking about ordering a second G1 when I can

Probably, the power consumption of the 1070 isn't that high.

You should be fine. I ran 2 cards with much higher power requirements even doing some coin mining at one point off of my Gold 750W. As long as its a good PSU I am sure you are easily in the clear. The 1070's at load seem to pull a max of 165W
