I've set my eyes on the Gigabyte GTX 1070 G1 Gaming. Can those of you who already have this card recommend it? Are there any issues with the cooler design, power delivery, noise, artifacts, etc?
My last card from Gigabyte was a GTX 460 1 Gb model and was very pleased with it.
I got mine last night, managed to put +120MHz on core and +600Mhz on memory. I'm not sure about the voltage % in the Gigabyte software, I've put it to 75% with +11% power limit. I'll need to adjust the fan speed curve tho, it looks like the card is doing some thermal throttling.
I think the MSI Gaming X OC is better at overclock with a 10+1 phase power and the extra 6-pin. I paid $569 CAD for the Gigabyte ($438 USD) and the cheapest MSI Gaming X OC was at $634 CAD ($488). That's a premium price for a few more MHz.
I know Gigabyte announced a 1070 Extreme Gaming with an extra 6-pin connector and a higher OC out of the box, but don't think suppliers have it yet.
