I don't get this DPC latency "issues" coz I do have quite cheap components honestly and I do not experience any audio or fps issues everything is butter smooth on G-Sync monitor.. how could this High DPC latency be seen ?
EDIT: I tried that program latency mon and it reported highest latency about 1200 from nvidia driver and 42000 overall highest without process name but I do not experience any issues.. what the heck then ? Might be actually placebo from your side guys ?

They have tools to test it. I didn't have any issues until I read the post (1080 owners thread I think) and got the tool to test it. Once I installed the stupid tool I started to get the video streaming issues that everyone was talking about.

Guru3D: Corsair Launches Magnetic Levitation Bearing based FANs.

Corsair: CORSAIR ML Series fans

^^ should be awesome with ASUS 1070 (FanConnect provides dual 4-pin GPU-controlled PWM fan headers... i can hook-up four of them to my SLI 1070 vid cards!) thumb.gif

(Only 9 more days until my ASUS 1070-SLI from Amazon! biggrin.gif and now i don't have to ask wat fans would be nice to connect to them.thumb.gif)

I have an MSI GTX 1070 Gaming X inside a Thermaltake Core V21 case. The case is for mATX/Mini-ITX boards and the motherboard setup is up using a horizontal style, where it is is sitting flat. I have a Noctua NH-D14 installed along with the standard 200 mm intake fan in the front. The only thing is that the back of the graphics card is touching the CPU fan "handles" used to secure them to the heatsink. In other words, the back of the card is right near the CPU heatsink. Will this be a problem in terms of temperature?

They will be heating each other up but there isn't much that can be done about it other than running the fans at a bit higher RPM than you would need to in an ATX format build. You could use a thin piece of rubber in between the backplate and handles to prevent any direct metal to metal contact. Maybe even just wrap that portion of the handle with black electricians tape.

Using MSI AfterBurner's "AMD Compatible Properties" in the settings; I had my 7970 overclocked, running at max core and max memory speeds, and constant max voltage for over 5 years without any issues. Temperatures were fine when I was not gaming anyway, because there's 0% GPU usage, and they'd only spike up during gameplay.

I hate this auto throttling bullsh** because the GPU thinks "oh it's FINE, I don't need to use full power", then a lag spike happens because suddenly I enter a very demanding area or something happens on screen and it stutters for one moment, jumps the speed up and goes back to normal.

This is literally the ONLY issue I have with the card.

Although I noticed if you go to nVidia Control Panel, then Manage 3D Settings, then choose the game you want, then change Power Management Mode to Prefer Maximum Performance, it won't throttle below BASE clock speeds. So at worst it stays in the 1500MHz region while gaming.

I found a workaround for this! -> http://forums.guru3d.com/showthread.php?t=395939 after getting skin and turning on k-boost when afterburner want's to restart just press no and go to windows device manager and disable your gpu then enable it.

I just saw the pictures of the EK full coverage (sort of) block for the MSI cards....

I really wish I had a reference board card, I want this block:

I may see if I can sell or trade my MSI Gaming for a reference gpu.

Can someone please get a modded bios already for these cards?

There's a STRIX 1080 bios out there with the core voltage bumped to 1.24v. Most people are talking about their cards not doing so well with the increased votlage, however almost every card out there has ONE 8 pin connector.

Well... the Zotac Amp Extreme - both 1070 and 1080 - have TWO 8 pin connectors, as well as much more phases. This promises cleaner power delivery. I am fully confident the Zotac cards would excel past any other cards with voltage increases.

I just need someone to crack a bios to unlock voltage. I wish I knew how to do it. I would just take my stock Amp Extreme bios and unlock the voltage.

UGH this is driving me nuts.
