I have actually thought about doing that. I only need to buy a block for the gpu if i decide to go that route, since I already have a custom loop.

Awesome! I also already have a Swiftech H 240-X in my system that I could add my GPU to but I prefer to keep the loops separate as I may add a second GPU to that loop or add my MB to my CPU loop if the opportunity arises and I do not want to add an additional res....

I think the Palit cards had 86.04.3b.00 bioses before the bugfix bios upgrade was released in November last year. You should be able to get the upgrade from the Palit website

If you are overclocking, use a custom fan curve. As temperatures rise, clocks start to progressively drop so the cooler you can keep your card, the faster it will maintain clock speed
Yeah i know about the micron bug before, i'm running the latest bios. +430 - 450 seems to be the max before artifacts appear. I always use a custom fan curve with air cooled cards, even at 65% the noise doesn't bother me much. But it's hard to keep this card under 55c and thats when it increases the voltage or adjusts the clock.

+400 was about the limit I got to before the bios update. Above that, It would put white checkerboards all over the screen and then BSOD.

After the Bios Update I can do +650 - +690 although about +500 - +550 give me better performance as errors/error correction starts creeping in above that. Don't worry too much about max core frequency, Focus on maximizing Vram overclock even if you have to reduce the core frequency by 25 Mhz to get there. you should find you get better performance.

from that profile you are running in AB. Do a CTRL-F to open the curve window. Drag the .950v point up to 2025 or 2037Mhz, hit apply and try firestrike again. you might be able to get it up to a 21000 graphics score

Do you see any improvements in games with those numbers?

Just that .950 one, or the entire row ?

Edit: Changed it and the entire row fixed itself tongue.gif

But 3Dmark keeps crashing when I'm running it now. The driver doesnt crash, Just 3dmark.. What can that be?

& Heaven unigine crashes as well. But driver stays intact..

Alright 1070 warriors. I need your help.

I have two GTX 1070 FEs. One was purchased directly from Nvidia (Digital River), and the other was purchased from MSI (newegg).

I noticed that while running SLI, the MSI card is triggering a VREL in GPU-Z (the blue indication is VREL, yellow is SLI). If you notice on the graph below (the nvidia-sourced card) that VREL is not present. It's just limited by SLI.

I was wondering if anyone else here had a 1070 Founders Edition not from Nvidia that is exhibiting the same characteristics. I only bring it up because it appears that my 1070 FE from Nvidia was binned better than the one from MSI.

Here's a pic for reference.

You have the slider set to 110 and then adjust that single point.

You could try dropping the slider back down to +100 and the point at 2025 and see how that goes. otherwise, try 2012Mhz, 2000, keep dropping it by 12-13mhz

Try it at 2012Mhz. Keep adjusting the point until it doesn't crash any more. I am running a MSI Gaming X with a Gaming Z bios installed. I can only get my slider up to +50 without it crashing but my default core clock is 1633Mhz. I will bump the .950 point up to 2037 and run the 1.063 point at 2088 and leave the voltage slider at 0. I found that the frame rates that I was getting was about the same at +0 and +100 on the voltage slider, the +0 voltage gives me lower temps

That is Firestrike.
I am asking if you noticed any improvement in games? How much of a framerate difference did you get?
