Far Cry 1 Feels like it has slight Motion Blur

Something isn't right, when you move the mouse it looks a little blurry. But side to side movements it looks more clear. I have tried things like mouse settings & V-sync & doesn't do anything. Is there some command that disables something?

Edit: Try these

i_mouse_smooth "0"
r_motionblur "0"

sometimes even with hi fps far cry can feel a bit judder/choppy, leaving mouse smoothing on will hide the judder.

Far Cry 1 is a masterpiece- but the indoor levels are crap- mostly because player movement is so slow an sluggish.

It's not clear to me what your problem is OP. A game looking blurry and having input latency are completely different things.

You know another game like that: Unreal II. Clunk clunk clunk clunk clunk. John Dalton moved like he had bricks on his feet. Another reason why Unreal II wasn't actually Unreal II.

To Far Cry's credit, it did have some nice looking interiors. As with Crysis, these were under-appreciated as everyone was too busy drooling over the game's groundbreaking outdoor environments.

Thanks! it was motion blur. I completely missed that command in the config file.

All better now. FC with motion blur just feels wacked.

I'm not good at describing the visual irritation, but it was motion blur. Sooo annoying for me.

I disagree, the indoor levels are what made this game incredible. A good mix with the stunning outdoors. I loved the dark catacombs, then get back out into the big open areas again. Don't know if any other game did that back in those days.

Levels themselves are not crap- just combination of dead slow player movement made it a nightmare. I was all the while thinking this guy is an ex Special Forces but cannot run- effing run will ya. Also didn't help that I am a fan of fast movement shooters like Quake Unreal Tournament etc.

I know what you mean, I played far cry 1 a while back, going from quake and UT to the first far cry is like being stuck behind the slow guy in the fast lane
