External Rads...anything besides MO-RAs?

Thread Starter
I'm moving to a mATX case and am still wanting to cool my CPU and GPU (I'm doing a whole system rebuild, minus GPU and Soundcard).

I think what I want to do is move to an external radiator, but I don't need anything quite as big as a MO-RA. I only need a 360/420, and maybe not even that. Is there anything else available that could be used instead? I've browsed PPCS, and the only other thing I see is HTF4.

At that point is it even worth it?

I was thinking about that as I was typing my post. Is there a U-shaped Foot that I could purchase from somewhere? Something akin to what the Wii U comes with, or some router?

Edit: Also, probably a noob question, but how would I connect the fans to power? Is there an external fan controller or similar?

Check PPC and do a search for Rad mounts!!!

you could use a external or internal fan controller just how ever you want to do it.. any of the internals could be used externally...

you have a great idea but need to do a bunch of research on how to do what you want to do...

I configured a small bundle for you:

+ you may need fans and quick disconnects

For external rads I usually go with EK Rad holders. These are dirt cheap (especially compared to Bitspower) and really solid.

Thanks for the ideas.

Are there any feet that could be used to make rads sit horizontally outside the case, say on my desk?

Whats the point of an matx case if you have to have the rad outside?
The point perhaps is that you can have super easy maintenance and stack full load of rads without looking for that perfect case, which rarely exists.

As for rad-feet I was using Lian Li feet for cases which I had.
