Whats the deal with Zowie mice? - Page 11

Logitech prolly has most money to throw around and make deals but still teams wont use their mice except C9. And half of players at C9 use G100s even they have an option to use "superior" models like G303, G402 or G502 (absolutely nobody use G502).

Sensor hype in real games means nothing.

The unfortunate situation is that Logitech threw away decent money on UGLY shapes hence there's no account for Corporates who have lots of money to throw around because they will ultimately design bad rubbish for users.

Horrible design sense, probably came from their 'accountants' hence the end result which has occurred with the G303, G402 and G502 series.

Word of note here Logitech, sack the accountants and find real designers this time when you want to flood the market with input devices again.

If the G303 had straight sides I would be using it now instead of the g100s or other mice I have.

Astralis use both Razer and Zowie mice atm. They are not limited to choose a product from a single company. And now as they are no more chained to Logitech none of them use a Logitech mouse.

Quite a few of them said they didn't really have any particular problem with logitech. There were a couple of them that did though.

Same story with my G402. Bad sensor this, shape that from a select few. Stayed away from it early on until I decided to try it out. Got it and plugged it in midgame and it's been on the desk ever since.

Now it's my avatar and location to much desired annoyance. biggrin.gif

Well, its always a matter of who is saying what, if MLT04-Redneck and PTE-Stalin are again preaching people shouldnt take everything serious, just as an example.

As for Zowie, most things have been said, objectively there is always a better option, and as for pros, lets just say that CSGO doesnt have any "special" requirements and pros themselves are prone to hype.

pros not prone to hype. They use what sponsor give them. If not they choose the best shape, next is sensor (rmember f0rest in 1.6 and early GO still using kinzu v1 also guardian still using it)
because perfect shape (for them) give faster & more precise shot than best sensor and latency does biggrin.gif

Idk, honestly I would say the popularity of zowies is in a large portion due to hype. As at least one person in this thread has shown zowie has some how been able to make hype around a lack of software for example and quite a few uninformed people will try to tell you any mouse that has even optional software automatically feels worse than zowie and final mouse simply due to the fact that they lack software. I don't know if any pros are actually naive enough to fall for this stuff, but I can't imagine so many of them use them because they actually find them much better than other mice. Also with the prevalence of mouse wheel jumping and zowie having pretty bad scroll wheels I'm surprised people don't get frustrated with them just based off that.
