[VideoCardz] Rumour: AMD Radeon RX 480 specifications leaked - Page 37

The 51% and 71.9% are CPU bound. The only one that isn't CPU bound is the 92.3%. DX12 doesn't have a Crossfire driver and AoS uses explicit multi-adapter which is much more efficient.

Much more is a stretch considering ability of Crossfire to have fairly ridiculous scaling at the cost of micro stutter.

Micro stutter could exist because the developer doesn't have a 480 or the drivers that they are running the 480 on to fix it.

I'm laughing from all this AotS benchmark and play talk. Mostly because I can't get it to run Dx12 period, crashes on low memory before I even reach the menu. Sure would love to know how a game is soaking up 12.5GB+ of RAM, but I can't be bothered to figure it out anyways. rolleyessmileyanim.gif

If I could cut the scaling in half to get consistent frametimes I would.

That'll happen.

I'll just play Stellaris instead, or HOI IV when it releases tonight. I'm still trying to decide whether EA deserves another chance 3 years later with ME:C. They seem to screw up too often though. Last time was 4 years between EA games for me. Was planning on making it a decade this time, but the original ME was absolutey spectacular... Besides having to deal with Origin again, blech.

which is still very good for $200-230

Is this 1980? lachen.gif

Honestly, that looks great. Know why?

Because it's different to everything else that is out and actually has a cool retro look that will suit many cases and motherboards.

Anyone that buys a card based on it's looks is a fool anyway you can only see the side of it in most cases.
