And yes, if it will cost $200 in Russia, i may even look over lack of working drivers and cop it anyways. Unless nV releases same stuff for same money.

What are you on about....

They've been pumping out great drivers lately.

I hope AMD"s new Primitive Discard Accelerator will make a significant difference in performance. But in any case it's clear now that the RX 480 will be competing in a price bracket below the 1070. Maybe we'll see a RS 480 or something, for a cut down Polaris 10.

Sucks for enthusiasts, but if you take a step back (assuming these are priced very aggressively) it would be fantastic for PC as a whole. The more consumers there are with good discrete GPU's means bigger, better games/ports. Powerful hardware for a fair price also means it will eat into the console space, which is again, good for PC.

If they sell this at $249 with the performance 10-20% greater than a 390X, then it would destroy the 1070 in value, it wouldn't even be close. It all depends on price.

I'm a little skeptical of not seeing an upper P10. Especially if AIB partners are making AIO liquid cooler versions. It just doesn't make sense to do that on mid-mid range to low-mid/budget ranges of cards.

That solution typically tacks on another $75+ to a GPU. There's very little reason to do that, at least in my view. Especially when those types are typically pretty quiet anyways since they don't get too hot compared to the upper ranges.

* Hawaii comes out and is lambasted for being a power hog
* Polaris comes out and is lambasted for not drawing enough

Look, I know AMD can't win with several of you. It's really trendy to beat AMD around the face and neck these days but maybe consider for a second that the targeted market right now may not be your own. While I may or may not get a P10-class depending on relative performance to this unbelievably godlike, undying 290X, I do have a couple brothers who are gamers that this segment is perfect for.

These guys aren't rich. A couple hundred bucks makes a big difference. They want a $500 card for $300; or a $400 card for $250. They won't get that with Nvidia this summer.

The AMD leaks have been far and few between. They've been very tight lipped. I remember seeing card photos and benches weeks before the actual launch date from prior releases. I wager we'll see a high-end polaris announced. Almost there gentlemen.

Fake? Look at the DP.

Looks real, but not much useful info.

I'll just wait for big Vega. Might replace my CF R9 290 with Vega, but only if it costs less than $550 MSRP (probably not happening).

I might wait for Navi instead.

They would win if they could release cards that would compete with Nvidia`s GTX 1070/1080 which isnt even the highest end.
If you look at Nvidia and AMD discussions its always about the tier you find GP104. Of course there are people wanting $200 cards as well, but the most vocal ones and what interest most gamers is 1070 type of cards.
People that have a desktop with R7 360 or GTX 960 are mostly people that bought their desktop prebuilt, most from OEMs. Dell, MSI etc. And these are not the typical enthusiasts that lurks forums and participate in discussions and rumors and speculations.
Which is why reading discussions and forums seems to give you the idea that "AMD cant win", because it seems they dont have anything to offer for enthusiasts yet. Which is sad
