At most it'll get sightly below 980 at stock, with near Fury X performance when OCed, 199$ people, remember that.

EDIT: Just noticed you meant Titan OG, in that case I feel sad for you frown.gif

Don't feel sad for me, I've gotten a lot of good years out of these Titans. Got to spend lots of time battling for the top spots in the benchmarking threads here on OCN. Eventually every card and get surpassed.

Or it signifies AMD's impending doom biggrin.gif

Don't read too much into it tongue.gif

Haha, no worries, I actually found it 'trollishly' amusing, a way to pass the time while the NDA doesn't lift.

Yeah, it could go either way (let's hope not).

Doubt that. If there will be 150W+ average power draw and high OC RX 480s we will be lucky.
you can already have a custom 980 well OCed reach stock ref 980Ti level or come very close, way back in 2014 .. performance wise that wouldnt be anything special .. and that assuming AIB 480s can even get 20-25% increase from OC which isnt the easiest thing to say the least

the winning point is the low price, not the performance, even if it OCs well

arguably if the beast mode cards cost ~$280-300 then you are better off (for casual users) getting the $200-230 ref still - less OC, but also better p/p with $200-230 .. that extra beast mode cost will pull the p/p down

Dont forget consoles, consoles wanting to adopt vr (Consoles all have AMD chips inside )

and windows 10 directx games will always benefit slightly more from GCN since AMD worked with M$ on DX12.

amd has a chance for a good comeback as long as Zen doesn't crap out or isnt priced to high

Yep P/Price always goes to hell with over the top AIB cards. So does performance/power.
I don't think the RX480 will have anything but the usual 15% OC headroom left over reference.

we know already that there will be a card with one 6 and one 8 pin on it with the beast mode.....

Don't know if anyone posted it yet, but AMD will be hosting a Reddit AMA on launch day and is giving away 14 RX 480 8GB Reference models to commentors. Details are here:

https://www.reddit.com/r/pcmasterrace/comments/4phz39/amd_will_be_making_reddit_history_next_week/

Vega and Zen are off limits, but they'll answer anything about Polaris and current software. What would you ask them?
I would ask them when Vega is launching wink.gif
