seems to be neck a neck, I didnt realize Primal was that demanding, probably because I rarely bother with Ubi games anymore

Witcher3? Who cares about that 2 yr old game. DX11 and CPU bound.

You said NEW games. That means DX12. Yeah sure a few more DX11 titles will be released, but guess what? The 970 is already enough for that. It is not a problem

DX11 is old tech,DX12 is the future.

They are more than likely using the internal benchmark which doesn't show the correct minimum fps, but the averages are usually spot on from my benchmarks.

I really like the game Ryse: Son of Rome. It's one the most gorgeous games to date and the CryEngine is simply beautiful. At 4K 100% maxed settings I average 40.27fps with my Fury X. No screen tearing. I can enjoy a lot of my games at 4K actually. 1440p is not out of the question either. It depends on the title.

I know we all want the magic 60fps, and it isn't impossible if you lower some settings, but the 4K image quality is much better than 1080p, but not as much as a jump from 1080p to 1440p. Balance is all I need at the moment and so far it's great.

You do realize that 4K is higher res than 1440p, right? It's 3840 x 2160 to be exact.wink.gif

.
Of course, 4k can be played with a 390 also without any issues with superb fps.
Mix a few settings any resolution is both playable and enjoyable even on todays cards.
I was running BF4 on 5040x1050 115fps framelimiter set in eyefinity with a 290.
great experience.

4k when you load up all the eyecandy then no single card can play it decently.
not a 1080 not a 480.
Its just when I see kids buy a 980ti playing at 1080p and lower settings and I question their sanity.

I suspect the 480x version might be a huge deal for the normal gamers below 4k.
Vega för 4k later.

Im pretty sure this is goona be a greate upper/mid-end gfx.
And thats a good thing for AMD this days....its were the majority of the sales are at.
My last two Amd gfx the HD 7970 and the Msi 290x Lightning have been serving me well (Arma 3 comp) , hell....even nVidia`s GTX 960 and 970 have been good for my mmo rigs
Havent bought nVidia`s top high end gfx...cause no need really.

They need a good long term strategy that works now, or we might loose them, and the competition too...
Even Zen must be somewhat competetive, lets cross fingers for greate price/performance from Amd this time.... I want to belive

Im pretty sure nVidia will cry baby tears if they need release a mid end gfx at 200 bucks....... but,we never know were the GTX 1060 is goona sit just yet

But in the end, for me personaly...it dosent matter if my gfx reads nVidia or Amd....as long as its have good price/performance....thats what we want in the end...right!!
