Sarcasm, my friend. Someone claimed they had information in regards to Polaris that pointed to an October release date.

Ugh care to share where they are coming from?

I know this is going to be a major launch but my biggest fear is bitcoiners are going to snatch a ton of them up raising the price and buying up stock.

HongKong I guess. Nowadays consumer goods are always available sooner in Asia. Not to mention the leaks from factory workers redface.gif

Considering what happened with the 290X I understand your fear but mining is much more niche these days than it was in 2013 when everybody and their grandmother were jumping on the bitcoin/litecoin bandwagon. We also don't exactly know how well these things will even mine either...

You can't mine bitcoin with GPU cards.it's useless.atm only Ethereum.

I hope you're right. I did forget that I took the 29-30th off for 4th of july weekend, but I really dont want to have to spend the day smashing f5 trying to get a card.

Let's just hope you can't mine any crypto's on these cards, otherwise we'll have another 290/79xx fiasco
You can always mine as long as you don't pay for the electricity, it's pretty much stealing power and converting it to some sort of currency.
If you pay the electric bill then it's not worth it for some time to use GPUs on crypto currencies unless it's some new one for which ASICs don't exist and it's easy to compute.
Even if that is the case, give it 6 months, the GPUs will start to not be profitable anymore on that currency and miners will flood the 2nd hand market with the GPUs soon enough.
