I am quite impressed they placed Polaris at this price segment.

It'll be interesting to see the benchmarks. I'm assuming it'll be somewhere around GTX 980 levels of performance based on the Crossfire comparison to the 1080. That'd be great for the price.

$199 for 4GB, $249 for 8GB. Still decent. But, a GTX 1060 will likely produce the same level of performance at 120W with lower heat output, so if that is important, it's still worth waiting.

I like the fact they are going back to the Radeon naming scheme.

I was expecting better power efficiency, but maybe too high expectations considering amd record

Definitely disappointing given that this is 14nm not 16nm like Nvidia.

However, I also believe AMD actually over estimated the TDP. I mean the reference card only has a 6-pin and gets rated at 150W, while the GTX 970 at 145W has a 8-pin for the reference. From Nvidia, we can see that 6-pin usually refers to TDP of ~120W.

If AMD specs is true, it would mean the reference card will have absolutely no overclocking headroom and will be making use of 150/150W available from the 6-pin + PCIE slot.

I believe at one point, the presenter did say "under 150W" so I guess they haven't finalised the final rating for the reference.

RX 480 4GB should be a nice affordable upgrade over my 760, kudos well done AMD

I'm curious to see how the reference cooler will perform. If it's not too loud and cool enough, I'll get one. I absolutely love the reference design.

Seems to me to be a hair better then a 980gtx. For the money I guess you can say that is a good deal but one of these doings VR? lol
Sorry that terrible rigged benchmark video and strange marketing scheme putting xfire up to a single 1080 then saying weird things like hey look it is running at 50% load really turned me off.
