Just like AIB cards with Nvidia chips costs twice as much hey a $799 FE but $1599 AIB custom card hmm?

AMD is not aiming the $350+ enthusiast segment ATM, you want a competition for 1070/1080 you gotta wait just like you have to wait if you want a cheap Pascal card at <$300.

Or whats the beef with 50% GPU utilization?

They sell me his RX480, but after seeing this, they don't sell me the second. This is a bad implementation of CFX, maybe early drivers. The GPU utilization has to be at 99% if possible.

EDIT: The rest of the cards in the E3? rolleyes.gif

Anyone have any estimate or seen any rumours of when the GTX 1060 is due to release? Because these Polaris cards are going to take a huge chunk from NV's market-share until they respond with the 1060.

Nobody has estimate for GP106's release, we know it exists however. I would bet nV are going to hurry up with release to spoil the fun.

They don't have an answer. Literally from the beginning they said Polaris is aimed at the mainstream. Vega is only coming out early next year(or late this year if you believe rumors) because HBM2 volume production starts in Q3. Unlike NVidia, AMD doesn't have enough money to design 5 different dies each generation. AMD is losing money and has to compete on 2 fronts, CPU and GPU.

I have no interest in a Xfire solution either - can't believe that's what Raja brought out his cigar for in Macau rofl.

*After the AIB 1070s are released and before the June 29 reveal:p

if it is to replace your 580 . . . you only need one. it is at least equal to 3 580s.

You don't want two . . .

AOTS is not your typical AFR multi-gpu XF/Sli implementation which could also explain the 51% utilisation no?

Ask NVIDIA, no one knows.

Could it just be them hitting a CPU limitation? i.e. the CPU not being able to keep up with the GPUs above 60fps.

Odd that AMD provided no single RX480 benchmarks though.

Not to rain on parade but AMD only switched the song to "mainstream aim only" around late April. Raja did imply we will see some serious performance out of Polaris in his early interviews ON TOP OF lowering entry point for VR. Some even speculated beyond that (cough Mahigan).
