The demo ran both before and after the menu was entered. It could be the whole thing was ultra, before the menu was high and only after was ultra, or they are just trolling.

lol No one is salty. I'm glad for Nvidia being able to sell cards for $700. If you've read any of my posts you'd see I'm in favor of Nvidia charging what the market is willing to pay. Why so willing to throw salty around without knowing what salty means, bro? I'm for Nvidia charging any amount people will pay.

Those of you talking about how expensive VR is currently are missing the point, I believe. This card can potentially bring VR capability to the masses. Yes, right now the Rift and Vive are overpriced, but how quickly do things move in the PC world? Look at the 980ti/980/Fury X. I expect lower cost VR solutions are being created as we speak.

By the time the second wave of vr comes out there will be new cards from amd/nvidia that will be even better at running vr. Again buying entry level card for vr right now is silly. This is a 980/390x for $200, nothing else the vr marketing is just that marketing to try rope people into buying them. Just like the 1080/1070, people will be like oh I may aswell buy one now with the promise of vr down the line in a year or two.

Seemed salty with your comment considering those cards will be for sale very soon. And 1080 have already been for sale if you are willing to pay the $699. Just seemed like you were throwing hate. And the fact you were saying AIB were more than $699 shows you knew squat about the pricing.

Getting a 980/390X for $200 is a big win in my opinion. This brings a whole new market into the upper mid-range segment. A 980 can game well at 1440P, run VR, and even be decent at 4K with settings turned down, but you had to cough up like $500 to get that. Now for a $200-250 investment, you can get some excellent performance. Sure nVidia will bring out their 1060, and it will probably be around 980 performance, but it's likely going to be more expensive than the RX 480.

Did everyone noticed how AMD Stocks dropped like a steel ball in the sea?

Bet they'll all regret selling when AMD gets back its Marketshare with these babies, I foresee AMD at 30 to 40% Marketshare by next Q.
