Same here, if I can get Fury performance for $400 I'll snag two and sell my 290s. Just waiting for benchmarks.

Yes they are! It is suppose to compete with the GTX 980, In most cases the GTX 1080 is 2x faster than a GTX 980 and in Ashes of the Singularity it required 2 in crossfire to match the FPS.

It won't be near the top end cards.
